So you’ve done it! You made the decision to eat healthier and workout more this new year! You’ve told yourself at least a hundred times- 2017 is going to be your year!

Why is it that the promises we make to ourselves are the easiest to break? I don’t know whether it is because we do not believe in our own abilities near enough or if we are just programmed to prioritize the needs’ of others over ourselves- but that’s about to change!
If you frequent this site often, I’m all about fitness being a journey- small changes that our sustainable in our lifestyles so they are more likely to stick and remain permanent! I also know we all could use a little help (go ahead, cut yourself some slack- you’re only human after all!).
It’s true- the people we surround ourselves with either raise or lower our standards! It’s simple peer-pressure… just think about it. How many times have you resolved to enjoy a “cheat-free” meal with the girls after work? You think to yourself- I’ll just order a salad or a lite menu option. All it takes is for one friend to nudge you that the diet can start tomorrow before you’re elbow deep in the bread bowl and ordering another round of calorie-heavy jumbo margaritas with a salt & sugar rim.
We are either encouraged to become the best version of ourselves or we lessen ourselves to sub-standard versions of what we once were depending on who we are surrounded by. No man, nor woman becomes great on their own. It truly is the people who are near them that help them become great!

- You will have 3 options for membership in this challenge group!
